I actually have a big list of reasons not to choose Girl, Wash Your Face for the first ever Self Care Bestie book club pick.  I myself have yet to read it, but several good friends have read it and have said, “girl, you can skip it.”  Which I found fascinating, because it has sat atop the New York Times Best Seller list for some time now, especially where the self-help books are concerned.  I actually replied to a message a concerned friend had sent me saying that the book was not worth the hype with these words:  “oh, don’t worry, I doubt that’s going to be the book we choose.”

But then I asked you what book you’d be interested in for our first pick and you said, resoundingly, “Girl, Wash Your Face.”  So you know what?  Let’s doooo the darn thing!

I’m super excited about it, and I think a little controversy will make for a REALLY good discussion – and after all, isn’t that the most fun part of book clubs?  Well also, there’s usually wine at them too…so I’ve heard.

So here’s the deal, my besties…I’m opening the link to register for the book club on Thursday 2/14 – it will be on the “join” section of my website.  You’ll have two options for participating in the book club – the free and the paid version.  Don’t worry, the paid version is only $8.99.

If you choose the free version, you’ll read the book (naturally) and join us for a Facebook or Instagram Live discussion at a date and time sometime in late March.  Heck, you can even attend both, if you’re so inclined! 😉

If you choose to uplevel your book club experience with the paid version, you’ll also get access to journaling prompts, discussion questions, and worksheets made by yours truly, as well as a more in depth, interactive discussion where all paid members (who choose to) can chat about the book face-to-face with me and each other.

Girl, what are you still doing here?  Go tell your besties!  ALL are welcome. This is going to be so. much. fun. I can’t wait to hang with you inside our book club!

P.S. You can get your copy of Girl, Wash Your Face here!
